چکیده

Fig. 2. The changes of myocardial ischaemia resulting from steal phenomenon were demonstrated by Thallium-201 myocardial perfusion scan (A-1: pre-embolisation, A-2: post-embolisation). Computed tomographic scan showed that the convoluted fistulous tract, originating from left circumflex coronary artery, passed through the subcarinal and left hilar region. These tortuous fistulae divided into multiple branches, which communicated with the left bronchial collateral circulations (B: arrow — the passage of convoluted fistula originating from left coronary artery, arrow head — the origin of right coronary fistulous tract). The patient was discharged on the 2nd postprocedural day without any other complications. Ao, aorta; LA, left atrium; LPA, left pulmonary artery; MPA, main pulmonary artery; RA, right atrium; RPA, right pulmonary artery.

Coronary Artery Fistulae: 4 cases repaired surgically

Malta Medical Journal Volume 27 Issue 01 2015 Abstract Coronary artery fistulae involve a communication between a coronary artery and a heart chamber or part of the pulmonary circulation. Most are asymptomatic and discovered incidentally, whilst larger ones may cause coronary steal syndrome. Fistulae may produce continuous murmurs and are diagnosed at echocardiography or angiography. Treatment ...

Myocardial damage of the entire ventricular region in a patient with acute myocardial infarction

Technetium-99m-pyrophosphate (99mTc-PYP) has been used, in combination with thallium-201, to estimate the site and extent of myocardial infarcts. We report a case of acute myocardial infarction with severe coronary disease in which the distribution of 99mTc-PYP was extensive. A 78-year-old man presented with dyspnea, and a diagnosis of non-ST-segment elevation acute myocar...

Bilateral Coronary Pulmonary Artery Fistulae.

Coronary cameral fistulae are rare and bicoronary pulmonary artery fistulae is even rarer. This is a case of a 70 year old male who presented to us with complaints of chest pain and dyspnoea. His ECG showed ST-T changes in inferior and anterior precordial leads suggestive of ischaemia in those territories. His coronary angiogram revealed bilateral coronary pulmonary arterial fistulae arising fr...

Multiple myocardial bridge in a 59 year-old woman

Introduction: Myocardial bridging is a congenital condition in which a segment of a major epicardial coronary artery has an intra myocardial route. Myocardial bridging is usually confined to a single vessel and is typically the mid segment of the left anterior descending artery. Bridging may be associated with chest pain, myocardial infarction, and sudden cardiac death, or usually asymptomati...

Detection of myocardial ischaemia caused by coronary artery-left ventricular fistulae using myocardial contrast echocardiography.

A coronary artery-left ventricular fistula (CAF) is an extremely rare anatomical abnormality in which blood drains directly from a coronary artery into the left ventricle. CAF may cause myocardial ischaemia and angina. Myocardial contrast echocardiography (MCE) is a non-invasive technique which assesses myocardial perfusion. We describe a patient with CAF in whom transmural myocardial ischaemia...
